Pantone Spring/Summer 2017

Updated: Apr 8, 2019

When Pantone first announced their top ten colours for the forthcoming Spring/Summer season, I immediately honed in on Greenery, Kale and Hazelnut as my favourites to win. I instantly began to envisage all of the beautiful weddings about to be designed and styled with nature in mind; outdoor settings, naked wooden tables, earthy tones and tonnes of foliage… In fact, a dream team of suppliers and I recently put together a beautiful outdoor wedding inspiration shoot in the majestic Puzzlewood, Forest of Dean, with a strong eco-friendly focus. As the full suite of edited images are currently in the submission process, I can only share these few 'sneak peeks' with you.

However, in my lust for all things "outdoors" and green/eco, I realised I was completely overlooking a brand new emerging favourite. Pantone Flame. Orange, but not 'orange' as we know it. It is a 'red-based' orange that adds warmth, romance and excitement to any wedding or floral design. It compliments both pale and bright yellows, apricots & peach, lavender and all shades of greens & pinks beautifully. It works beautifully against a crisp white backdrop; perhaps in a marquee, a summer house or industrial whitewashed brickwork. Equally, it is just as stunning set against the backdrop of a botanical orangery.

So, I have trawled through wedding blogs, Pinterest and Instagram, and have picked my favourite, most-inspiring examples where Pantone Flame has been used beautifully to create unique, memorable weddings. I hope you like what I have found!
